The Great Cactus Forests of Oaxaca and Puebla
Some of the world's greatest cactus forests lie in the Mexican states of Oaxaca and Puebla. Inspired, in part, by David Yetman and Alberto Burquez's book "Mexico’s Valleys of Cuicatlán and Tehuacán," Drew traveled from Oaxaca City to Tehuacán through the Cuicatlán and Tehuacán valleys and also west of Tehuacán through the Zapotitlán valley to the Helia Bravo Hollis Botanical Garden. This talk will highlight the extraordinary plants of the region and include a tiny bit of the region's culture.
